My name is Qamar Masood and I want to be your new voice for Orléans Ward 1. I have lived in this thriving Orléans community for over 30 years and my 3 kids have grown up here attending both Carine Wilson and Sir Wilfrid Laurier Secondary School.
As one of the many candidates, I stand out with my integrity, extensive commitment to the community and my passion for helping everyone. I am President of the Multicultural Association of Orleans, a chef with a catering business by profession, a licenced auto mechanic, recipient of the Ottawa City Builder Award and most importantly committed to listen and voice the opinions of those in my community. My diverse volunteer experience makes it easy for me to understand the needs of individuals and community organizations. I come from a multicultural background and I am running for council to bring more perspectives and equal representation from diverse communities. Take a look at the collection of photos showcasing my dedication to the community and the great people I have met/made connections with over many years.
Bob Monette has created a great legacy and I hope to follow in his footsteps. Let’s all make a positive change to Orléans. I encourage you to go out and exercise your right to vote on October 22nd.
